As if dual speccing, stable recall, and unlimited ammo were not enough changes to make your head spin, even more changes for the next big patch are tenatively in place. Aside from many new talent changes, there are several tenacity related changes worth discussing.
The biggest one is that thunderstomp is now being given to all tenacity pets. This, of course, is a game changer. Up until now, most tanking has been done by our gorilla friends, due to the overwhelming advantage of thunderstomp. With this talent in the hands of all our tenacious friends, the playing field becomes wide open. At this point, any pet becomes a viable main tank. The Gorilla recieves a spell related move that does hint at being very useful. Personally, this makes a strong case for the turtle, who’s defensive Shell Shield is now very attractive.
We will have to have some thought and discussion on the pros and cons of the various pet special moves!
Secondly, Roar of Sacrifice now only applies to the Hunter. Well, it couldnt be all good. This of course robs us of some valuable utility, not to mention invalidating some extremely useful macros 😦
Thirdly, Rhino’s stampede will affect only one target and add a bleed. Talk about a reduction in fun factor. Who can forget BRK’s rhino bowling movie?! Let’s hope this one doesn’t go through.
